Booking Through Thursday asks this week:
Do you lend your books? Are any out on loan right now? Do you have any that have been loaned to you? Do you put a time limit on these? Do you think people should make an effort to read the loaned book quickly?

I have both lent books, and received books on loan, from other readers.
When I do lend books, I expect them to be read as soon as possible, and either returned or lent back out to another reader, unless I specifically state that I don’t need it back.
By the same token, I promptly read books that others loan to me, and return them as soon as possible; if I can not get to it in a reasonable period, I will ask the lender what they would prefer I do.
I have no specific time limits, but would think out of common courtesy, two or three weeks (just like the library) should be sufficient, without notification of delay.
