The aftermath of my visit to the ophthalmologist, for my annual diabetic exam, was that the dot was burned into my vision, from the vision field test, and pupil dilation. It is a rare occasion that this doesn’t happen to me.
As I made my way to my car, I heard someone, or something, murmur in the shadows at the end of the walkway. I moved in closer to the left side of the structure, and inched closer.
Whoever, or whatever had made the sound let out a piercing scream, and jumped over me, scraping my scalp with what felt like claws.
To this day I can’t say for sure if it was a human in distress, or a cornered animal of some kind. But, I can’t lose the feeling that it was maybe an ape or monkey of some kind.
Never take a shortcut through after the ophthalmologist dilates your pupils and administers a vision field
test, because you can not see very well afterwards. Also, if you hear something, don’t investigate yourself until your vision returns to normal.
