Booking Through Thursday asks this week:
So … you’ve just finished reading a book. For the sake of the discussion, we’ll say it was everything a book should be—engaging, entertaining, interesting, thought-provoking. The kind you want to gush over. The question is—do you immediately move on to your next book? Or do you take time to contemplate this writerly masterpiece and all its associated thoughts/emotions/ideas for a while first?

I tend to jot down notes about my thoughts while I am reading, so I have things ready for my review. (Usually this in Evernote.)
Once I have written my review, I will then move on to the next book. Sometimes though I will have two or three books going at the same time, which makes jotting down my thoughts even more important. One book may be on my smartphone, one on my kindle, and a hard copy book from the library at home.
Whatever the case, I rarely think about a particular book, unless reminded about it by someone asking me about it, or if it is part of a series.
